This sodium salt of sulfuric acid can be derived synthetically from diverse manufacturing processes and is consumed the world over in bulk for many industrial uses. One of the largest and most significant uses of Sodium Sulphate is seen in the manufacture of laundry detergent powders where the salt is used as a filler. In the glass manufacturing industry, use of Sodium Sulphate helps in glass fluxing and getting rid of small air bubbles and pockets from molten glass. The salt also has notable use in textile production.
